Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your information when you use the Paki Daw application ("Service"), operated by Paki Daw Information Technology Services ("we," "us," or "our").

1. Information We Collect
To provide and improve our Service, we collect the following types of information:
For Requesters (Users posting tasks):
- Phone Number: We use your phone number to verify your account via SMS One-Time Password (OTP) and for communication related to your tasks.
- Location Data: We only collect your precise location at the moment you create and post a task. This information is used to:
- Allow Partners to calculate their distance to you or the service location.
- Enhance security and prevent fraudulent activity.
- Display your location on the map relative to the task for the assigned Partner.
- Camera and Photos: We may request access to your camera or photo gallery if you choose to upload photos of items to be purchased or issues that need repairing (e.g., a broken pipe).
For Partners (Users fulfilling tasks, including Riders, E-Bikers, and Handymen):
- Personal Information: Your full name is manually collected by our support team from your submitted Driver's License or Valid Government ID for identity verification.
- Phone Number: Used for account verification and communication.
- Application Documents:
- Driver's License or Valid Government ID
- Vehicle Registration (OR/CR) (Required for Motorcycle Delivery Riders only)
- NBI, Police, or Barangay Clearance
- Vehicle Information: Vehicle type (Motorcycle or E-Bike), model, and plate number (if applicable).
- Live Location Data: Your location is tracked while you are actively engaged in a task (from acceptance to completion). This is essential for the Requester to track the progress of their task or your arrival in real-time.
- Camera and Photos (Proof of Service): We request access to your device's camera and photo gallery. This allows you to take and upload photos as proof of item condition, repair progress ("Before" and "After" photos), or successful task completion. These photos are shared with the Requester for verification purposes and are stored securely on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To Provide and Manage the Service: To create and manage user accounts, facilitate deliveries and repairs, process payments, and enable communication between users.
- For Safety and Security: To verify user identities, prevent fraud and abuse, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies. Our AI-powered scam detection system (utilizing secure third-party AI providers) analyzes task titles and descriptions to identify potentially risky activities.
- To Improve Our Service: To understand how our users interact with the app, to conduct research and analysis for improving the user experience, and to develop new features.
- To Communicate with You: To send you service-related notifications, updates, security alerts, and support messages.
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Between Users: To facilitate a task, we share necessary information between the Requester and the Partner, such as names (for Partners), task details, uploaded photos, and locations relevant to the task.
- With Authorized Local Operators: Paki Daw operates in various cities through independent "Local Operators" (franchisees). If you use the Service within a specific territory, your account information, application documents, and transaction history are shared with the authorized Local Operator of that territory solely for the purpose of managing local operations, partner approval, and customer support.
- With Service Providers: We may share information with third-party vendors and service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting (Supabase), mapping services, AI analysis, and communication services.
- For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we have a good faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Paki Daw, our users, or the public.
4. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no internet or email transmission is ever fully secure or error-free. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
5. Your Rights, Account Deletion, and Data Retention
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information.
- Account Deletion: You can request to permanently delete your account and associated data directly within the Paki Daw app (by navigating to Profile > Delete Account) or by visiting our Account Deletion Request Page.
- Data Anonymization & Retention: When you request account deletion, your public profile (name, avatar) is immediately anonymized and removed from public view. However, for the safety of our community, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution, we securely retain transaction logs and your phone number for up to 90 days before permanent deletion, in compliance with local laws and Google Play safety guidelines.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
